BACKGROUND

Cities in which voters approved the sale of wine in grocery stores are required to issue certificates of compliance before grocery stores may be licensed to sell wine by the Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC).  Once those certificates of compliance are issued, and the grocery store obtains a license from the TABC, the State then requires the applicant to obtain a new certificate of compliance from the City every two years.

Bread Box #3472 is owned by GPM Southeast, LLC and is located at 7501 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.

Applicant originally received its Certificate of Compliance and ABC license for this location in May of 2017.  According to the background checks provided by the applicant, the applicant and those in charge of the business have not been convicted of a felony in the past ten years.  Failure to act within sixty (60) days of the submission of a completed application shall be deemed as granting the certificate.  The renewal application was submitted on July 24, 2019.
